Your Child's Schedule is Now Available on the Parent Portal
Posted 8/17/20

Hello Ardenwood Parents and Guardians.  On Wednesday, August the 19th, our school will be hosting its materials distribution for the start of the 2020-2021 school year.  Please look for the Dragon Update posted to our school website on August 11th for information and a link to sign-up for a predetermined timeslot if you have not done so already.

On the Illuminate Parent Portal, you may now see the name of your child’s teacher for the 2020-2021 school year.  Once logged in to your parent account, click on the word “Schedule” on the left hand navigation bar.  Change the date to 8/26/2020 and refresh the schedule to display the name and room number of this year’s teacher.  You will need this information for our material distribution.

The excellent teachers at Ardenwood Elementary have been busy compiling materials for your child to use during distance learning.   The materials you will initially take home are not for the entire school year, but rather a selection of needed items to start this school year successfully.  Chromebooks will also be distributed to families who have expressed a technology need to access distance learning.

We ask that, to the extent possible, that a single member of your household come to pick up school materials to limit the number of visitors we have on campus at any given time.  Each child’s materials will be bagged and labeled for quick identification and can be picked up outside of their teacher’s classroom.  Please see the attachment for a map of our school to help you identify the location of your child’s classroom.  The weather has really heated up over the last couple of days, and while temperatures will be slightly cooler than this last weekend, it is predicted to remain warm through the week.  I encourage you to bring a backpack or large bag to help carry distributed materials in this hot weather.  While on campus, all visitors must wear a face covering and maintain appropriate social distancing.  Your timely arrival and departure will help keep our campus safe for all visitors.  The front office will not be open to the public during our material distribution, and email continues to be the best way to contact office staff for assistance or to answer questions.

Please keep your eye on our school’s website and be on the lookout for automated emails and phone calls from our school for additional information regarding the first day of school.

With Regards,

Elie Wasser
